Mission
Established in 1999, Friends of Reston for Community
Projects, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Its mission is to support Reston Association in performing
charitable, educational and scientific purposes.

Projects
Friends of Reston is committed
to raising 100% of the funds for its flagship project,
the construction of Nature House. Nature House will
be an environmental education building located at
the Walker Nature Education Center on Glade Drive.
Other Friends of Reston projects include funding
for:
· Scholarships to RA Camps
· Initiative for Public Art in Reston, partner
· An All-Terrain Wheelchair for the Walker Nature
Education Center
· An Aquatic Wheelchair for the RA pools
· Wildflower Plantings along Reston’s
roadways
· Refreshments for Senior Movie Day
· Traveling Nature Trunks loaned to Reston schools
· Educational Signage for Reston’s meadows
· Benches for the ADA Trail, Freedom Grove and
RA tennis courts
