Welcome
to the
Reston Association!
The Reston Association (RA), located in Reston,
Virginia, is one of the largest community associations
in the United States. The community, the dream
of Mr. Robert E. Simon, got
its start in the early 1960’s and
today is home to 60,000 + residents who I
believe enjoy a quality of life second to
none in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

| We
are located 20 miles west of the nation’s
capital and six miles from the Dulles International
Airport, in the rapidly growing and technology-rich
Dulles Corridor.
RA is a community service organization, with
primary responsibility for the design,
use and maintenance of covenants for properties
in Reston; maintenance of open spaces that encompass
1,350 acres; environmental
protection; and recreational and educational
activities that range from a wide array of
aquatic and tennis programs for all ages to
a nationally acclaimed environmental
education program that is housed at our 72-acre
Walker
Nature Education Center. We constantly hear
from new and long-time residents alike that “living
in Reston is like living in a park”, and
we take great pride in our environmental
stewardship role that helps to foster this
sentiment.
Our website is a true source on the Reston community,
and we believe its many features are beneficial
to the first time or frequent user. We have features
that allow you to sign-up to volunteer,
download the design
guidelines, and a special E-commerce
section offers the convenience of purchasing member
pool
and tennis passes, checking your account balance,
paying your annual assessment, and enrolling for
swim lessons and camps. Phase II of the E-commerce
section will offer many more opportunities for
members and non-members. Through our website,
you may also contact the Board
of Directors and staff,
and please don’t forget to sign our guestbook
and share your comments
with us.
At the Reston Association, we are constantly in
pursuit of our vision
of leading the model community where all can live,
work, and play. Our efforts are directed by our
mission
to preserve and enhance the Reston community through
outstanding leadership, service, and stewardship
of our resources.
