Reston Camps Overview

2024 is the 50th anniversary of Reston Camps! Reston Camps is proud to be the longest-operating camp program in our community. At Reston Camps, we explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, play games and make lasting friendships. We help children grow physically, emotionally and socially with an emphasis on respect for themselves and others. At Reston Camps, we hire experienced staff with a passion for providing children with a rewarding and memorable experience.  All staff receives extensive training in positive behavior support, child development, and child abuse training, as well as mandatory certification in CPR/First Aid/AED, a criminal background check and a Central Registry check. We pride ourselves in small group sizes and our safety and supervision exceed the minimum standards for child day centers, as required by the Virginia Department of Social Services. Generations of Restonians, from campers to counselors, have participated in Reston Camps. Come play with us!  For more information contact us at camp@reston.org.

Camps Forms

Camp forms are collected through a software program called CampDoc.  If you are a returning camper, you will still need to log in and confirm that your information is still correct.  New participants will receive a link to sign up.  This software will streamline the forms collection process, as all forms will be filled out online and will include links to our EpiPen, Medication forms, and more. Please look out for an email with a link to access your account. URGENT: Please confirm your contact information, including email, is correct in WebTrac or your CampDoc email will not be sent.

Camp Themes

Some camps have special “themes” that are part of their experience. Details on specific camp themes can be found on WebTrac.

Pool Time

All campers who visit RA pools during their time at Reston Camps are given a swim test by an RA Lifeguard on the first day of every session. Based on their swim ability, even non-swimmers, will be allowed in various areas of the pool and are under consistent supervision of both camp staff, as well as RA Lifeguards. We provide lifejackets for those in need.
